Chana futures decline on poor demand
Chana futures traded down on NCDEX due to poor demand for pulses on account of ongoing marriage season. Further, higher selling pressure in local mandis also influenced the chana prices.
The contract for June delivery was trading at Rs 3,136.00, down by 0.88% or Rs 28.00 from its previous closing of Rs 3,164.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 107800 lots.
The contract for July delivery was trading at Rs 3,210.00, down by 0.80% or Rs 26.00 from its previous closing of Rs 3,236.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 115360 lots on NCDEX.
Turmeric futures trade up on demand for good quality
Turmeric futures trade up on NCDEX on the arrival of good quality. Turmeric traders are pinning their hopes on the onset of monsoon that is likely to result upcountry orders and push up prices.

The contract for June delivery was trading at Rs 5962.00, up by 2.02% or Rs 118.00 from its previous closing of Rs 5844.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 21630.00 lots.
The contract for July delivery was trading at Rs 6056.00, up by 2.02% or Rs 120.00 from its previous closing of Rs 5936.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 15680.00 lots on NCDEX.
Jeera futures trade bearish on NCDEX
Jeera futures trade bearish on NCDEX. Higher sowing figures may pressurize the market prices. Better crop expectations this year could hamper the rising rates of the commodity to some extent.
The contract for June delivery was trading at Rs 12977.50, down by 0.06% or Rs 7.50 from its previous closing of Rs 12985.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 10644.00 lots.
The contract for July delivery was trading at Rs 13150.00, down by 0.23% or Rs 30.00 from its previous closing of Rs 13180.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 8310.00 lots on NCDEX.
